Four-time WNBA championship team the Seattle Storm has tapped skincare brand Youth To The People (YTTP) as its “Official Skincare Partner.”

YTTP, which was acquired by L’Oréal in 2021, will present Storm Fits on social media, as well as align with Force4Change to present and contribute to Kicks for Equality.

About the Partnership

YTTP will help enhance game-day walk-in experience for players through in-arena and social media activations, one of them called Storm Fits, set to be featured in all of the Seattle Storm social media platforms, to spotlight the unique fashion styles and personalities of the roster.

The partnership also includes a community component as YTTP joins Force4Change, the Seattle Storm social justice platform, by supporting “Kicks for Equality,” the Storm’s largest fundraiser. As part of the initiative, players wear custom-made sneakers to benefit a non-profit that serves the BIPOC community. This year, YTTP is slated to contribute with a substantial donation.

“Both Youth To The People and the Seattle Storm are deeply committed to DEI and social justice impact. It’s at the core of who we are. We are now joining forces to amplify our players and the community through our platforms,” said Nate Silverman, Storm Chief Commercial Officer.

Other aspects of the partnership include:

  • Exclusive content creation between Youth To The People and Storm players.
  • Brand visibility at Climate Pledge Arena on game day by presenting Rivalry Night on August 13, as well as through TV signage.
  • A StormAcademy session for local youth, providing an opportunity to explore the science behind skincare as well as possible career paths in the beauty and sport industry.

“We are so excited to be partnering with the Seattle Storm for their 2023 season. The Storm and YTTP share many of the same values and commitments, from working with DEI initiatives in the community to empowering women in leadership and STEM”, added Catherine Sproul, General Manager Youth to the People US. We look forward to working together on impactful causes that mean so much to all of us, and we are incredibly proud to be the official skincare sponsor of this team.”
